What Would You Ask Your Pet?
While some wonder if our pets will be in Heaven or not, we can take it a step further and also wonder if we'll be ably to finally communicate with them. If we will be able to, think up some questions you'd like to ask your pet and get honest answers on. Like, "Why did you always drink out of this container and not that one?", "Did you break my vase?" or "What was your favourite treat we gave you?"
Feed the Ants
Find an ant nest or trail and trial different foods next to it and see which ones the ants like most. Watch closely as they try and transport the food together.
Fence Feed Some Animals
Go to a place where you know there are horse, sheep, cows, goats, alpacas or even a bird aviary, and take some healthy food to feed them through the fence.
Make a Bird Bath
Put an old frying pan or large shallow container out in your yard with some water in it for birds to to drink and bath in. Make it permanent if possible to build up the local bird-life's knowledge of where to come for a drink/bathe. Observe their 'pecking order' and interesting bathing and drinking methods - differing between birds. You could wok towards making a beautiful feature bird bath to sit and watch on Sabbaths. If you have frequently roaming cat in your yard this is not advised - unless you can make the bath out of reach from a stalking cat.
Visit a Farm
Go on a visit to a family member's, friend's or commercial petting farm, and enjoy feeding the chickens, cows, horses, goats, pigs, dogs or whatever animals they may have.
Run With Your Dog
Take your dog for a run. Find a nice park or nature trail and run together. Kids may be able to ride along on their bike with you too.
Blow Some Bubbles for Pets
Using a home-made or commercial mixture, blow some bubbles with your kids, or even your cat or dog. Most LOVE to chase and pop them - it's natures own bubble wrap.
If your hands are wet with a detergent-like mixture, you can catch the bubbles without popping them. Then you can look at the swirling colors in them.
Take a moment to admire the design which allows bubbles to form, float as a sphere and pop.

Let Your Dog Free
Take your dog to an off-lead area so they can explore and socialise with other dogs without your restriction. Some towns have fenced in areas for such activities. Remember some poop bags - and a towel for the car trip home if they get muddy.
Feed the Birds
Provide food for the birds around your home yard, or down at a park. It isn't ecologically ideal to interrupt the diet of wild birds, so only feed them foods that are close to their natural diet, and only feed them maybe once a week (I recommend Sabbaths) as a treat. See if they get to know they don't have to 'work' to find their food on Sabbaths.
Take your Dog for a Swim
Take your dog to the beach, a lake or river where they are allowed to have a swim. Remember a towel!
Teach a Dog a New Trick
Try to teach your dog, or a family or friend's dog, a new trick.
Tricks could include: sit, shake hands, beg, stay, leave, fetch items by name, sniff out items, jump through a hoop or 'speak'.

Groom Your Pet
Spend some time bathing and or brushing your pet (unless it's a fish or something) and making it look ready to go on show. Perhaps add a ribbon or two?
In doing this you'll be showing love towards your pet and bonding closer to a creature God created.

Pamper Your Forgotten Pets
Do you have a fish or pet bird that does not get as much attention as it did when you first got it? Spend some time playing what it loves most with it or feeding some treats...
Go for a Horse Ride
Go for a sightseeing horse ride through a forest or even on the beach. Admire the surrounds, but also the amazing creature the horse is.
Connect With Your Pet
Have a big play time with your pet cat or dog and see if you can really connect with them, giving them full focus and guess what they'd like next while you play with them. Renew your bond with your pet and spend some quality time with them.
