Gaze to the Moon

Spend some time admiring the moon. If you have binoculars or, even better, a telescope, have a close look. You may need a darkening filter because the moon can hurt your eyes after looking at it for too long while magnified. A crescent moon is best for seeing the mountainous crater shadows and is less likely to cause a headache from its brightness. Try taking some photos of the moon during its different phases.
